Tina Lee is the Editor-in-Chief of cross-border feminist news publication Unbias the News and the head of publications at Hostwriter, a global network that helps journalists to easily collaborate across borders. In 2019, she was Editor-in-Chief of the book Unbias the News: why diversity matters for journalism, published by Hostwriter and Correctiv. Previously, she co-founded the site migrationvoter.org and worked for the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, Human Rights Watch, and NGO Praxis. She holds a Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America and a LLM in International Law and International Relations from the University of Kent.

Sarah Schröer López works as a journalist for Germany’s biggest public broadcaster, Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln (WDR), where she focuses on political and international reporting. As a reporter, she covered the Bundestag election in 2021, for instance. She gained experience in international journalism when working at ARD Broadcasting Centre in Brussels and covering the European Union. Moreover, she regularly travels to different countries to realize in-depth research on social and political topics, for example to Jordan and Armenia. One of her reporting focuses is migration. Sarah Schröer López studied journalism and economics at TU Dortmund University.

Josef Šlerka, Czech Republic, is a semiotician and expert in social network data analysis. He is a former director and now a member of the Expert Board of the Foundation for Independent Journalism. He is a university lecturer at Charles University in Prague. In the past, he led development and research at Socialbakers. In 2014, he was awarded the title of Personality of the Year at the Czech internet awards Křišťálová lupa.

Jan Tomandl, Czech Republic, has been working in the media since 2001. He started in the dailies Den and Rovnost. He joined the Czech News Agency (ČTK) in 2006 and currently works as the head of its Brno branch. He is a member of the Regional Council of the Syndicate of Journalists. He teaches vocational training courses at the ČTK Academy in Prague. He lectures externally at the Masaryk University in Brno. In the past, he also taught at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. He is the author or co-author of three books on public relations, journalism and crisis communication.

Gyula Maksa, PhD, dr. habil. is an associate professor at the University of Pécs (Hungary), Department of Communication and Media Studies, where he directs the Comics Studies Research Center (Képregénytudományi Kutatóközpont). He has organized several conferences, exhibitions and published two books in Hungarian on comics as a medium: Változatok képregényre (Variation for Comics, Budapest-Pécs, Hungary, 2010), Képregények kultúraközi áramlatokban (Comics in Transcultural Flows, Cluj, Romania, 2017). His main research areas are the geopolitics of comics, transcultural situations and communicative uses of comics.
